One of the holiest pilgrimage destinations for followers of Lord Shiva, Kedarnath can be found in the Rudraprayag district in the Garhwal area in the state of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath, located in Uttarakhand, is considered to be the holiest of the five pilgrimage sites known as the Panch Kedar. One of Lord Shiva’s twelve Jyotirlingas may be found in the Kedarnath range, which is located at an elevation of 3,586 metres and is surrounded by magnificent mountain peaks and is close to the source of the river Mandakini.
