Although this stunning walk is just through a short section of evergreen forest and meadows, it is still a part of the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and can be found in the district of Rudarpariyag in the state of Uttarakhand in India. Kedarnath is famous for the wildflowers that grow there, and this walk provides you with the chance to see them. This is a famous journey that can be done in the summer or winter, and it takes you to the holy Devariya tal Chandrsheel summit (13000ft), which is surrounded by stunning snow peaks. Kedardoom, Kallandi peak, kedarnatha peak, nandadevi peak, Chopta is a magnificent hill station in the Uttarakhand India Himalayas .This is known as the Valley of God, and it is home to some of the world’s most stunning woodland landscapes. The Copta base camp leaves an impression on you the instant you foot on it, with its images of Shiva, Ganpati, and Pandav atop a modest temple dedicated to Chandrashila maa. The breathtaking vista of well-known mountain peaks that surrounds you in 360 degrees will take your breath away.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 - Drive from Dehradun to Sari.
Arrive at Dehradun in the wee hours of the morning so that we may make a quick trip to the Sari hamlet located in Uttarakhand along the Ukhimath Chopta route. You should arrive at your campground before it becomes dark. Relax and get ready for the journey the following day.

Day 2 - Trek from Sari to Deoria Tal
After breakfast, begin your walk to the stunning woodland green lake at Deoria tal, which is said to be the Indra Sarovar that is mentioned in the Puranas. The lake is surrounded by a mountain range. It is stated that the Devas made use of this lake as a bathing spot in the past. The reflection of the towering peaks of Chaukhamba and Neelkanth in the lake's incredibly transparent water creates a picture-perfect setting for the lake and its surroundings. Spend some quality time in the vicinity of the lake. Spend the night at the campground at Deoria Tal.

Day 3: Trek from Deoriatal to Chopta
We leave early in the morning to make our way to Chopta, a little hamlet that is yet charming due to the pristine natural beauty and tranquilly that it has. The ascent to Tungnath begins here at this point in the journey. When we get there, we are going to spend some time relaxing and then we are going to go out and explore the region. The breathtaking panoramas of the snow-capped peaks in the distance may be seen from Chopta.

Day 4: From Chopta to Tungnath to Chandrashila to Chopta
We begin our journey to Tungnath with a hearty breakfast at an ungodly hour, accompanied by our lunch provisions for the day. The path leads hikers through verdant pastures before connecting them with a pilgrimage route that ultimately leads all the way up to the Tungnath shrine. After a little break, we shall go in the direction of the Chandrashila top. To reach the peak, there is a strenuous but relatively brief trek of one km. The view that one may get from the very top is spectacular and very promising. After that, we will retrace our tracks and make our way to the Chopta camp, where we will spend the night.

Day 5 - From Chopta to Dehradun
We collect our tents in the early morning hours after breakfast and then make our way back to Dehradun.

Trekking Pants - 2
Shirts or T-shirts, between two and three
A windproof jacket of reasonable quality (no wind cheaters made of cheap material, please!) ideally one that includes a hood.
Sweater made of wool or fleece that is strong and warm and has long sleeves.
Thermal pants for the upper and lower body.

Shoes that are suitable for trekking or hiking and are comfortable (it is advised that you use shoes with a thick sole).
